Bering Sea Crab Fishermen’s Tour
Tuesday, July 28, 2009 8:00AM, we grabbed the early bird on the Aleutian Ballad. Even with Alaska time, it’s still early! Sunrise is at 5:00AM! Don’t waste any time walking between the cruise ship and the crab boat. Some folks were late and they were left behind.

Give the whale image time to load (photographed in sequence just after Photo #508 below.) We also watched an eagle come in on the fly for a chunk of fish. Other than one perched in a nest, it was the only one that we saw that day. Yes, it was on native controlled waters. No, it was not being fed hot dogs or other garbage. No, we did not get all teary and whine like a greeny because the eagle got an extra fish to eat that day. This cruise package was an EXCELLENT experience for young and old, but if you are hung up on “save the animals” don’t go. If you want to experience Alaska for a fun event, don’t miss it! Camera on fast shutter while trying to keep the sea legs steady.

Hi Harry,
Thank you so much for sharing these great pictures with us! It looks like you had a great day with our crew. I will be sure to send them around to the boys to enjoy. We hope to welcome you back on board again soon!
