Monday, August 10, 2009. Dawson City, population 2,020. After our boat ride 104 miles up the Yukon River, we landed at Dawson City. We stayed here for two nights at the Westmark Hotel that is owned by Holland America. Holland America owns everything, including the boat that we rode in on and the bus (Gray Lines) that we rode out on. As you can see in the first photo below, it’s a beautiful day. I sure wish that yesterday’s boat ride could have been as nice, but we will enjoy this one anyway. I put some miles on the shoes this day.
